What makes Nestfeather different from other homeware shops? The collections are created by a designer with a background in architecture, interiors, and landscape - disciplines concerned with how the things around us shape everyday life. The Wagara collection draws on years of travel and engagement with Japanese craft traditions; the Op Art collection uses geometry and light to make surfaces come alive.
Are the products made to order? Yes. Everything at Nestfeather is produced on demand - made when you order it. This means there's no warehouse of unsold stock, which is better for the environment and ensures every item is fresh.
What materials are used? Our ceramic mugs are glossy white porcelain. Water bottles are double-walled stainless steel with vacuum insulation. Cushion covers are made from woven polyester. Full material details are listed on each product page.
Do the colors look true to the website images? We photograph products as accurately as possible, but screen color calibration varies. The designs are printed at high resolution with vibrant, long-lasting inks. If you have concerns about a specific item, feel free to contact us before ordering.
Orders & shipping
How long does it take to receive my order? Because each item is made to order, please allow 2–5 business days for production before shipping. Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 6–8 business days domestically. International orders may take longer.
Do you ship internationally? No, we currently ship within the United States only.
Will I receive a tracking number? Yes. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link once your order has been dispatched.
Returns & refunds
What is your return policy? We have a 30-day return policy. Items must be returned in their original condition, unused, with tags and original packaging, along with proof of purchase.
What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect? Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately if something is wrong. We'll assess the issue and make it right — whether that's a replacement or a refund.
Are there items I can't return? Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned. Custom or personalized orders are also non-returnable.
How long do refunds take? Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method; your bank may take a few additional days to post the credit.
Design & collections
What is the Wagara collection? Wagara (和柄) refers to traditional Japanese patterns with deep cultural roots - motifs that appear in textiles, ceramics, architecture, and everyday objects across Japan. The Nestfeather Wagara collection reinterprets these patterns for contemporary use on functional homeware.
What is the Op Art collection? Op Art (optical art) uses geometry, repetition, and contrast to create the illusion of movement or depth on a flat surface. The Nestfeather Op Art collection draws on this tradition - specifically the architectural idea of using light and shadow to animate a surface without adding anything decorative or unnecessary.
